Samsung will not charge you until your order has been shipped or is ready to pick up.
When you place your order, a hold for the funds will be put on your card for the total amount, plus all taxes, fees, and shipping charges, if any. After the order becomes ready to ship, the payment will be authorized to be made and the charge will occur.
Note: Orders placed with PayPal, Samsung Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay or Apple Pay are charged immediately after the order is placed.
When happens when the authorization period ends?
Samsung will release the funds to your financial institution to approve the authorization. The actual time that it may take for the funds to be released depends on your financial institution. It may take up to 7 days for full release.
Why do I still see a pending charge after cancelling an order?
We remove authorization holds immediately after an order has been cancelled, but it may take your financial institution up to five days to release the hold. Once the authorization hold is released, you will no longer see the pending charge and the funds will again be available in your account. Unfortunately, our Order Support team does not have a method to expedite this process.
