Do I have to pay for return shipping if I want to return an item?
Updated
No. Return shipping is free for items bought on Samsung.com or through the Shop Samsung App. After Samsung’s Order Support team approves your return, a prepaid return shipping label will be emailed to you, so there’s no fees for shipping the item back.
There are two costs you may see during the return process, which will affect your total refund: a restocking fee (on most products and in most situations), and any shipping or installation fees from your original order (which aren't refundable). See Do you have a restocking fee? for more information.
This applies to orders shipped from Samsung.com. Orders picked up at a retail store follow a different process (see below).
How to Get and Use Your Prepaid Return Shipping Label
Where to find it: Your return shipping label is emailed once your return is approved. You can also find it on the My Orders page. If you don't see the email, check your spam folder.
How to use it:
For small items (like smartphones and earbuds), attach the return shipping label to the package and drop it off with the carrier named on the label.
For large items (like TVs and home appliances), schedule a return pickup with the carrier that delivered the item. Use the original packaging if it came in any.
Deadline to use it: Ship the item or have it picked up within 15 days of your return being approved.

Restocking fees
Returning an item for a reason other than damage or defect, such as a change of mind or ordering the wrong model, may result in a restocking fee: 15% for home appliances, 5% for most other products, and no fee for Galaxy S Series and A Series phones. The fee is waived for damaged or defective items reported within 5 days of delivery or 2 days of installation (whichever is later).

How to start a return
Confirm your order is still eligible on the My Orders page, then contact Samsung’s Order Support team to request a return. Return shipping labels aren't included in your original package.

Before you ship your return
Include everything that came in the box, along with any free promotional items, or your refund may be reduced. For phones, tablets, watches, and TVs, sign out of all accounts (including Find My Mobile), remove your SIM and memory cards, and perform a factory reset. Samsung can't process a device that still contains personal data.

Return labels and trade-in labels are different
If your order included a trade-in, you'll receive two separate shipping labels for the return and the trade-in. Each is unique and goes to a different place, so using the wrong one can delay or block your return. Returning your new device cancels the trade-in, so hold off on sending your trade-in until you're sure you're keeping the new device.

Refund timeline
Samsung reviews your return within 10 business days of it reaching the warehouse, then refunds your original payment method, minus any restocking fee or non-refundable charges. Your bank may take another 2–5 business days after Samsung processes that refund to post it to your account. Orders with multiple items may be refunded in separate transactions.

Orders picked up at a retail store
