Steps to Reset Your Samsung Account Password
Go to the Samsung Account page and select Sign In. Visit https://account.samsung.com in any web browser.
Enter your email address and select Continue. Use the email address registered to your Samsung account. If you’re not sure which address you used, select Find ID.
Select Forgot Password. You’ll be asked to verify via email or phone number.
Via email: Open the reset email from Samsung and select the reset link. The email usually arrives within a few minutes. If it doesn’t appear, see the troubleshooting section below.
Via phone number: Samsung shows part of the phone number attached to your account. After inputting the full phone number, a verification code will be sent to it.
Create and confirm your new password. Back in the browser window, type your new password twice (make sure it adheres to length and other requirements) and select Continue.
Confirm the password is reset. Follow the remaining prompts until you see a success message. Samsung will email you to confirm the password was changed. You’ll need to sign in again on your phone, TV, and any other Samsung devices tied to your Samsung Account.
If the Password Reset Email Doesn't Arrive
Check your spam, junk, and promotions folders. Automated Samsung mail is filtered more often than personal mail.
Wait 10 minutes and refresh. Delivery is usually fast but can take a bit longer during high traffic.
Search your inbox for "Samsung". The message may have been auto-sorted into a tab or label.
Try your other email addresses. Your Samsung Account may use an older or secondary email address. Repeat step 2 with each email address you own.
Check whether the address still exists. If the Account is tied to a work or school email address you no longer control, you won’t be able to receive the reset link. Contact Samsung Support to recover the Account instead.
Add Samsung to your safe senders list. Then, request the email again.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I reset my Samsung Account password from my phone?
Yes. The reset page works in any mobile browser. You can also start the reset from Settings → Samsung account → Sign in → Forgot your ID or password? on a Galaxy device.
What if I don't know which email address is tied to my Account?
Try each email address you own on the reset page — It'll tell you if an Account exists for that address. You can also check for old order confirmations or shipping notifications from Samsung — they were sent to the registered address.
How long is the password reset link valid?
The link is single-use and expires after 30 minutes. If it expires, you can request a new one from the reset page.
Why is my Account locked?
Repeated failed sign-in attempts can temporarily lock your Account. Wait and try again, or reset the password to clear the lock. If it persists, contact Samsung Support.
Do I need my old password to reset it?
No. You only need access to the registered inbox or phone.
Will resetting my password sign me out of my Galaxy devices?
Yes. After a password change, you’ll need to sign in again on your Galaxy phone, tablet, watch, TV, and any Samsung services tied to the Account.
Can I use a different email address with my Samsung Account?
Yes. For details on updating other Samsung Account information other than your password, see How do I change my Samsung Account information?
